Upper Saddle River - An Overview
"Incorporated in 1894, Upper Saddle River was once a farming community of apple orchards, strawberry fields, and dairy farms. Today, it is one of the most affluent towns in Bergen County.
The borough borders New York State and adjoins some of the county's other wealthy towns, including Allendale, Saddle River, Montvale and Ramsey.
Upper Saddle River is a bucolic community with many luxurious homes. Many houses in the borough are new and a number of long time residents have enlarged their older homes or demolished them to build new ones on the land."
